Mood : (12/28/17)

I haven't been in the mood to post much. Or finish any drafts I have. That made me think, not being in the mood that is. In a book I not even half read but swear upon (The Artist Way) in the early parts I did read it talks about mood being irrelevant. I agree. I mean there's some exceptions to this, extremes I would say but really mood is irrelevant. The parts that I did read describe how your creativity is basically a light switch. Most of us probably believe that when it hits and when it doesn't there's nothing we can do about it. I used to believe that, but not anymore. If you're a writer, artist or whatever I believe you can create dope shit on a whim. Even when you don't wake up with a plan or if you're not in the "mood" to. Once you get started, you're in your zone before you know it. Your light switch is on. So I was wrong, my mood doesn't hold power over my ability to create. Everything is fuel, right?

Or not.
