What I’ve Been Listening To/Stuff I Listen To #4 - #6 AKA I Obviously Enjoy Making These (10/11/18)
At my core, I am a nerd. A nerd of many things. I genuinely enjoy making playlist lol I find this to be weird and odd to tell others. Its like when kids claimed ownership and used their songs that played on their Myspace's pages to describe their whole being. I like to think this just a branch of my love of creating things? Making things? Even if it is made of preexisting works of art not made by me? Sure. Lol. Let's roll with that for now. Usually it reflects how I'm thinking or feeling. Or if I hear something and use Shazam lol. Or if it is just being around me. Or if i follow people online who do music, etc etc. Lots of Or's and etc's. I usually spam my friends with my playlists but they are tired of it and clearly do not care as much as me lol that's fine. Here they are for anybody who was sent this link or stumbles across this. Music before my time was great. Amazing. Music during my time is great. And amazing. Lol I like the music selection at get togethers and functions of the like. Most times I think about who I can play these for, can I just put this on and leave it? Will the older people like my dad like it? Stuff like that. Whatever it is you make you always wanna reach the widest audience, right?

I really love this one. That Fleetwood Mac and Gil-Scott Heron really takes me places, man. Anita Baker's voice is awesome. I love every track on here. Saba's flow on "LIFE" is always a standout for me. That Girl! dum, dum. dum dum. That opening Nas verse on "Live at the Barbeque" is wild. Thank you, Tre for sending me that, never heard it before that. ALL I DO IS THINK OF YOOOOOUUUU! Exhibit C!! Oh, man.

Mac Miller ended up both of 5 and 6. I made these a while ago. It's a bit crazy to me that he's gone. I responded to the news with anger, confusion and a search for like logic. The last album I listened to from him was "Watching Movies with the Sound Off" and I love/loved that piece of work. I paid little attention after that but it wasn't that I stopped caring I just didn't listen as much but I was aware of his increase in quality and maturity. In my little group of friends his early stuff was very influential to our whole vibe and our first track was on one of his beats. I underestimated that time in our lives in my hindsight. My friends took his loss really hard. RIP Mac Miller.
I think my brother (I have a million) knows the singer on the first track. Mia Jae, or like his old teacher is her best friend. I have no idea why I was following my brother's old teacher lol that sounds wild but I found her back when I had an Instagram and I think my bro's old teacher shared a track or something and then I followed her. Small world. Bubblin will forever go hard. Steelo. I don't love it as much as 5 lol favoritism exist but its cool. I guess lol.
