Cool Stuff By Cool People: Vol. 1
If you couldn't tell by now I like to share things. Especially cool things by cool people so I figure I should do that on here. Some of these people I know personally others not really. This might be a long list so feel free to stop and come back if it's too much. Thanks
MichaelFromTheEast Aka Mike B
So first up is Michael. I went to school with Mike for like 6 years and he's been into the whole music since then. Well, since before i knew him actually lol. A real talented guy that just stuck with it. Sticking with something is difficult, continuing to pursue something that you really want to do can be difficult. So I respect him greatly based on that alone. He also helped me out a few times and believed in me when I had zero faith in myself and I'll never forget that. Anyways, I really like the music he makes and lately I think he's found like his "sound". Music people always say that lol "finding your sound" stuff but his latest EP is very enjoyable. So here's some stuff from him.

"Prevail" by R'Chelle Ayanna
"Prevail" is a relatively new brand based in Harlem by a young woman I know. It's pretty self-explanatory lol all about empowerment and inspiring perseverance through faith and self love. The picture above does a great job showcasing this and I believe it is the latest design. I think it's dope although I am also fond of the train design. Apparently Ms. R'Chelle received the inspiration for this project while riding the train and having a talk with a homeless man. Interesting story, right? The design above is based on empowering scriptures dedicated to the women in Ms. R'Chelle's life but also double as helpful reminders to remain vigilant during rough times. A key theme throughout the brand. Check it out if it sounds cool to you.
P.S.
The hats are dope.

The Cobblestone Flowerpot by Troy Drayton
So, this is another homie I went to school with. Our friendship was an odd one lol. But man I wouldn't trade it for anything. We would sit in english class and trade bars from illmatic, see who knew more. Whenever we walked home we traded 2pac bars and stories (Specifically "All Eyez On Me era stuff) That was the dopest thing to me, man for real. Even when I first started writing my own rhymes he invited me over we spoke about delivery. Easy ways to start, he taught me the tricks Kanye used, like stretching words and bending pronunciations (not that Kanye was the first ever but we were big on him too) and that meant to the world to me as well. Just like Mike this was somebody who really believed in me and wanted to see me win and that's rare these days. So you know we drifted. Sad reality but its no like malice or whatever. A mutual friend told me he wrote a book and I was so proud. He's done great stuff after graduating high school and I'm proud. Never thought he'd write a book though! I still have to read it myself but trust me I will be doing that, I'll post again about it when I finish it. Shoutout to Tequan "Troy" Drayton. Cool dude. His book is below if you're interested in seeing all that he has learned.

Live From the Dojo brought to you by bushido_brwn
This dude came such a long way, man. My bad but I'm proud of so many people lol. Mr. Bushido started off making simple but fire FL Studio beats. Real beginner level stuff then he just transcended lol. Lots of hard work and networking, He said he wanted to make music and didn't let fear or anything stop him. I'll always respect and admire this drive. His beats now are masterpieces. A real nice guy and he even set up a spot for artist to come through and perform and record. That's real love for the art. I went to school with him too, he was like two grades below me maybe but as usual I look like the younger one. I haven't spoken to him in awhile but if he sees this or if any of you contact him for a beat or session tell him I said wassup. Long Live Bushido.
(Also a producer, hit him up for some amazing beats. He came a long way trust me)

UnapologeticallyRah by Raheem Logan
Raheem Logan is one of my heroes. I'm lucky enough to say that there are people I actually know that fill this role. Not like a celebrity or historical figures. Somebody my age. These days I don't think we see that much. His latest post says a lot of things that I feel, that I agree with. He came so far from being the smart kid in class telling me that what I needed to hear. But, somehow he's that same guy lol in a good way. If you see this, know that people are reading/listening and I'll be waiting this project you speak of. Staying tuned for " Confidently Lost". Much love, Logan.

ChilledCow/LoFi Girl: lofi hip-hop radio
I found this during my usual rummaging through YouTube for beats. One of these days I'll post about my favorite YouTube producers but I love the lofi sound. I always ask my brother to make some beats like that but he ignores me lol. I forgot exactly how I came across this channel but its been so useful and helpful and without it I wouldn't have written certain things, drawn certain things or come up with certain ideas. It helped me with my morning pages which I got from reading the first few pages of "The Artist Way". It helped me relax when drawing gets frustrating. Sometimes I just leave it on in the background. I never got into the little chat thing on the side but I'm sure the community is really cool. I love ChilledCow lol I want them to continue forever. Check it out even if you're not into lofi like that.
College Music
Similar to ChilledCow this channel provides a radio like livestream. There's some overlap between the two but I enjoy that as well as the differences. College Music is cool, they post a lot and have two radio livestream things going on at once so you can switch back and forth if you want. I've found some great tunes and created some cool art both written and drawn to the music they provided. Good for most relaxing situations or even work related things. I love you as well, College Music lol.

Midnight Tiger & Action Lab Comics
Midnight Tiger is really cool comic written by Ray-Anthony Height and Dewayne Feenstra. I can't remember how I came across it, I think I followed the Action Comics Facebook page and discovered it there. I haven't any of the other titles they have. I've been slacking immensely on my comic reading and such but looking at their selection now I'm very interested in checking out some of the other series they have to offer. Those two issues made me very curious as to how this world became the way it is. I'll have to look into how this particular shared universe works. Gavin (the midnight tiger) gives me some serious Ultimate Spider-man/Peter Parker vibes but in a good way. He appears to be way more confident and I like how they both want to stomp out the big bad boss type but realize it's not quite that simple. I wish there was some more of this but maybe he's like featured in the other titles? I'll let you know when I find that out. Until then I'll enjoy my two issues of Midnight Tiger lol dope comic.
So this is some stuff I find cool and worth sharing. I'll be back with more when I find more.
Later.
